PROMOTION OVERVIEW: Mattel Thomas & Friends™ Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") consists of a four (4) Weekly Entry Period drawings and a Grand Prize drawing.
PROMOTION ENTRY PERIOD: Promotion begins at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) on 3/1/2016 and ends at 6:00 p.m. (PST) on 3/29/2016 ("Sweepstakes Entry Period"). This Sweepstakes consists of four (4) Weekly Entry Periods as described below:

ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C., 18 years of age or older at time of entry who are parents or legal guardians of a child up to seven (7) years of age and who meet the eligibility requirements detailed in this section. The Sweepstakes and any Website pages and advertisements relating thereto are intended for viewing within the United States only. Employees of RAPP, Ventura Associates, Inc. ("Sweepstakes Administrator"), Sponsor, their subsidiaries and affiliated companies, those involved in the production, development, implementation or handling of the Sweepstakes, any agents acting for, or in behalf of the above entities, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representative, or promotional agencies, licensees, service providers, prize suppliers, any other person or entity associated with the Sweepstakes (collectively "Sweepstakes Entities") and/or members of the immediate family or household of such individuals, whether related or not, are not eligible. ("Immediate family" means spouse and parents, siblings and children and their spouses, whether or not residing with the ineligible individual.) Void in Puerto Rico and U.S. territories and where prohibited or restricted by law.
ENTRY METHOD:
Method 1 (“Online Entry”): Visit www.thomasandfriends.com/bingo (“Website”), following the on-screen instructions on how to submit your entry. Your entry must have a bingo match, and in order to have a bingo match, please follow the steps below:
1. Visit a participating store where the participating Thomas & Friends™ Take-n-Play™ or MINIS products ("Products") are sold during the Sweepstakes Entry Period to purchase one or more boxes for participation in the Sweepstakes.
2. Open the Products to see if you can match your train on your bingo board.
To get a bingo board:
b. Visit the Website and print your bingo board
i. Print the bingo board which has four pages
ii. Tape together the four pages to make one board
3. Place your Products on the bingo board spaces that match their names
4. When you connect three trains plus match it with one free space in a line up, down or diagonally, you've got bingo
5. Make sure your trains are lying on their side and take a picture of your board
6. Upload your picture at the Website (www.thomasandfriends.com/bingo) and follow the on-screen instructions to “enter now”
Your Online Entry must have a bingo match in order to be eligible. Once properly submitted, the information you supplied together with the photo will be considered and referred to herein as an "Online Entry". Limit: One (1) Online Entry per email address throughout the entire Sweepstakes Entry Period. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an Entry, the Entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the email address is registered.
Method 2 (“Mail-in Entry”): To enter the Promotion without making a purchase, handwrite your first and last name, street address, e-mail address and the Weekly Entry Period you are entering on a postcard and mail entry via first-class mail to: Mattel Thomas & Friends™ Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 9307, Medford, NY 11763-9307 (referred herein “Mail-in Entry”) during the Weekly Entry Period mentioned above. Mail-in Entry must be postmarked during each Weekly Entry Period and received seven (7) days later.
Online Entries and Mail-in Entries received in a given Weekly Entry Period will be entered into that Weekly Entry Period drawing and will not rollover to the subsequent Weekly Entry Period drawing(s). However, all eligible Online Entries and Mail-in Entries received in each Weekly Entry Period will be entered into the Grand Prize drawing.
Online Entries and Mail-in Entries will be referred to as “Entry(ies)” from this point on.
PRIZES AND THEIR APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES: ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: The Grand Prize winner and 3 guests will receive a 3-day, 2-night trip to Thomas Land in Carver, MA. Trip includes: round-trip coach-class air transportation from airport closest to winner’s residence, hotel accommodations for two (2) nights, transfers to/from hotel/airport in Carver, MA (“City”), (2) day Thomas Land Park tickets for winner and guests and (1) $500 Toys R Us gift card for winner only “Grand Prize”. Total ARV of the Grand Prize: $5,750.00. Actual value of Grand Prize will vary depending upon points of departure and destination and seasonal fluctuation of hotel rates and airfares. If winner’s residence is located more than two hundred fifty (250) miles from the City, round-trip coach air transportation on a Sponsor-selected carrier between a Sponsor-selected major metropolitan airport near winner’s residence (“airport of origin”) and a Sponsor-selected major airport in or near the City; but if winner’s residence is located within two hundred fifty (250) miles or less from the City, then round-trip ground transportation via a Sponsor-selected method between winner's residence and the hotel. All expenses not specifically mentioned herein are not included and are solely the winner’s responsibility, including but not limited to: alcoholic beverages, fax service at the hotel, food, gratuities and tips, insurance, laundry service, merchandise, parking, room service, luggage fees, service charges, souvenirs and telephone calls. Travel and lodging are subject to availability, certain restrictions, blackout dates and Sponsor’s approval. Airline carrier and hotel regulations and conditions apply. Grand Prize winner must travel on Sponsor-selected dates, or Grand Prize will be forfeited in its entirety and, at Sponsor’s discretion, awarded to an alternate winner. Travel must be made through Sponsor’s agent and Sponsor shall determine airline and flight itinerary in its sole discretion. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for airline cancellations or delays. If for any reason whatsoever, winner is unable to travel after all arrangements have been made and paid, he/she will forfeit all rights to the Grand Prize and the Sponsor shall have no further obligation to the winner. Trip must be taken by 12/31/16. Winner and guest(s) are responsible for obtaining proper documentation prior to travel. Guest(s) will be required to execute and return a Liability/Publicity Release prior to travel. If winner’s guests are minors, a parent and/or legal guardian must accompany them and must sign any required documents on their behalf. Sponsor will not replace any lost, mutilated or stolen tickets, travel vouchers, certificates or prizes. Prize elements may not be separated. Airline tickets issued in conjunction with the Grand Prize are not eligible for frequent flyer miles, and no code share flights may be used. Grand Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. Four (4) Secondary prizes (one prize awarded per Weekly Entry Period): One (1) Thomas & Friends™ Prize Pack and (1) $100 Toys R Us gift card to be used toward a Thomas & Friends™ Shopping Spree. Each Thomas & Friends™ Prize Pack will consist of the following Thomas & Friends™ products: one (1)Take-n-Play™ Jungle Quest playset, three (3) Take-n-Play™ engines, two (2) MINIS 8-packs, and one (1) Collector’s Playwheel carry case (ARV: $174.00 each). Sponsor may substitute prizes or any part thereof in case of unavailability at its own discretion with a prize of equal value. Limit: one (1) Weekly Prize per person.
Total ARV of all prizes: $6,446.00.
WEEKLY DRAWINGS: Random Drawing will be conducted within fourteen (14) days after each Weekly Entry Period ends. Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received per Weekly Entry Period.
GRAND PRIZE RANDOM DRAWING: Random Drawing will be conducted by Sweepstakes Administrator whose decisions are final at 1:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) on or about 4/11/16. Odds of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received.
PRIZE NOTIFICATION: Potential winners will be notified via email within two (2) business days from the date of drawing requesting further information needed in order to verify eligibility for the prize. If a potential winner does not respond to the initial notification within two (2) business days, he/she will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner will be selected at random. Once the Grand Prize potential winner responds to the initial email notification within the allowed time, she or he will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release ("Affidavit"). The completed Affidavit must be returned within five (5) business days from date of receipt. By returning the completed Affidavit, winner attests to the authenticity of his/her winning entry. Sweepstakes Administrator will make reasonable efforts to award prizes. If the Grand Prize potential winner does not return the completed Affidavit within the time allowed, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, to an alternate potential winner selected at random from all eligible entries received.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: All taxes (including but not limited to federal, state, local, sales and income tax) are the winner's responsibility. A Form 1099 will be issued to the Grand Prize winner. Except where prohibited by law, entry and acceptance of prize constitute permission to use each winner's name, prize won, hometown, likeness, photographs and statements for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity (including online posting) in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission. Any depiction of a prize is for illustrative purposes only. No transfer of prize or any components thereof to a third party is permitted and prize may not be substituted or redeemed for cash value, except by Sponsor, who reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute prize for a prize of comparable or greater value. No groups, clubs or organizations may participate in this offer or reproduce or distribute any portion of these rules or Entry forms to its members. All persons, by participating in this Sweepstakes, agree to be bound by these Official Rules, and the decisions of the Sponsor and Sweepstakes Administrator shall be final and binding.
RELEASES: By participating in this Sweepstakes, each participant agrees to release, defend and hold harmless Sweepstakes Entities as well as the employees, officers, directors and agents of each, from all claims and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses of any kind to persons (including death or bodily injury) and property, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy that may be sustained in connection with either directly or indirectly, 1) the awarding, receipt, ownership, use or misuse of a prize awarded herein; or 2) participation in the Sweepstakes or any prize-related activities, including but not limited to traveling to or from any prize-related activity. Sponsor is not responsible if Sweepstakes cannot take place or if prize or any portion thereof cannot be awarded due to travel cancellations, delays or interruptions due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather or acts of terrorism. Winner assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused by participation in this Sweepstakes or use or redemption of prize. Sweepstakes Entities assume no liability or responsibility in connection with the safety or performance of prize awarded hereunder nor in connection with any warranty or representation therewith.
By entering the Sweepstakes, each participant affirms that he or she has read, understood and accepted these Official Rules. The laws of California apply to and govern the Sweepstakes, and any claims must be raised and resolved in California. Any information collected by entering the Sweepstakes shall be used only in a manner consistent with these Official Rules and the Sponsor's privacy statement found at http://corporate.mattel.com/privacy-statement.aspx.
The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes, if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In such event, Sponsor will award any prize at random from among the eligible, non-suspect Entries received for the Sweepstakes up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of Entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure to receive Entry information by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to a participant or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any materials in conjunction with the Sweepstakes.
CAUTION: Any attempt by a participant to deliberately damage Website or undermine the legitimate operations of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such participant to the fullest extent permitted by law.
